Paint Pens in Purses, Boston’s all-female urban collective, hosted it’s first sketch art event. Twelve top local artists were brought together to create artwork on the spot. Attendees could draw alongside these great artists and have a chance to purchase unique sketches, illustrations, paintings.
The artist lineup included some of the original ladies from Paint Pens in Purses; Mykim Dang, Tofusquirrel, Nineta, Silvi Naci, Ali Jersey, and Shayna Yasuhara. Also on the line up: Patt Kelley, Josh Falk, Fish McGill, Matt Zaremba, Nick Colen, Suze (Hourglass Tattoo), and Andrew Reagan (Hourglass Tattoo). This event was curated by Paint Pens in Purses’ founder, Shayna Yasuhara.
Paint Pens in Purses has been a notable influence in the Boston art community since 2008 and has has since created a second home base in San Francisco.
