December 6-9, 2012 - This weekend I was in Miami for the Miami Art Fair. Here are some photos from the event. Between taking a red eye into Miami and a red eye out; I tried to take in as much as could of this event of seismic proportions. While there was a lot of questionable art there were some amazing ones as well. 

It’s no joke. Onlookers and participants really do flock here from everywhere. The majority of people at my hotel were speaking languages other than English.

Many people who were there definitely fell into the category of “filthy rich”. If you were to delve into the money aspect of the event you are sure to be depressed. However, on a positive note, it was way easier than I thought to finagle press passes. Perhaps sneakers versus stilettos did the trick? In either case; good times.

With so much to see I attempted to tackle the Miami Beach area on one day and the Downtown and Wynwood District the next. Here are some of the places I visited. I would highly recommend checking out the Wynwood Walls and the Wynwood District where there was a lot more of an underground vibe.
